Oh, delish!

Photos found here.

So, every once and a while Stone and I treat ourselves at the grocery store and pick up a tub of Nutella (reason that we cannot do this too often is because it is always eaten within 3 days of buying!).

This past weekend we watched the movie 'It's Complicated' and Meryl Streep owns the cutest bakery and in one scene she bakes homemade chocolate croissants, which left my mouth watering for them. Now the way I make these is super easy, but if you are feeling Martha Stewart-y then maybe you can try making homemade croissants. I found a recipe for those here.

If not, just use Pillsbury Croissants and fill each with one spoonful of Nutella. That easy. And trust me, it is so delicious.

Enjoy!

An 8ft wide home... for real!

This home in London was built 4 stories high in a very cramped space. 8 feet wide to be exact! How cool is that? The homeowner is an architect, naturally, so clearly had an eye for potential in a space when they bought the land. And the outcome is pretty incredible. I think the way they designed the back of the house to kind of jet out by each floor giving them more space, was pretty genius.

This is also my favorite part of the house! An indoor space that can be completely transformed into an outdoor patio. The way the big glass doors fold accordion-style makes for a completely seamless transition. I love it. Definitely adding this idea to the bucket list for my home one day.

Our project this weekend.

Stone and I spent some much needed time outside on our porch this weekend working on our pots (does that sound weird to say working on our pots?). Earlier this Spring we went to Lowes and bought our patio furniture, which we are loving, and the price was perfect. On Friday we brought home a mixture of flowers that will survive the hot sun, as well as some herbs! Next on our list is a strawberry and blueberry bush for our other two remaining pots, then we are done!

Here are some photos of how it all turned out : )

I love how green peppers become flowers first and then grow into the peppers!

My mom gave Stone and my brother in law, Preston, each one of those mugs a Christmas or two ago... then last Christmas my sister and I both got one. They are a couple of our favorite mugs (thanks mom!)! By the way, if you drink coffee and are not using a press pot yet, do so... immediately, it will be a whole new and better coffee, trust me.

Oh, ya, and that is the view from our porch.

Don't be jeal.

Have a sweet weekend.

Another wedding for us this weekend. Shocking isn't it?
Also on our agenda is working on our "garden", making homemade pizza, and watching It's Complicated with Meryl Streep (love that woman). All in all, a pretty great weekend ahead of us and I hope you enjoy yours.

I am ordering a pair of these tonight, I think you should too.

A yummy breakfast recipe for your lazy Sunday morning.

On my bedside table this past week is this book and I am loving it.

A billboard that emits a scent. That's good advertising!

Our friends just got home this week from living in Malawi for a year. If you have a buck or two donate to their cause here.

Modern family meets Kobe Bryant... hilarious.

It's like a pet... only less messy.

So I have said it before and I will say it again, we have some serious green thumbs (or we would like to think so). We have even revived an orchid! And this latest trend is right up our alley. Terrariums. Kind of remind me of the 70s a little (I was not yet born, but if I imagine a living room in the 70s I imagine a terrarium was sitting in it). I love them, they are low maintenance and add a little personality and green to your home. So fun. I am going to create a terrarium centerpiece on our dining room table, so more on that to come.

Read more about them here.

A little treat.

Last weekend we roasted marshmallows in our friend Skyler's outdoor fireplace. This is one of my favorite things about summer. Being outside, with friends and enjoying the gorgeous weather (and maybe a few treats here and there!). Anyway, Skyler has many different methods by now for making the perfect s'more and we tried out a new recipe this past weekend.

First, roast the mallow (and when I saw roast, that means you spend a good 15 minutes in the warmth of that fire getting it nice and golden!).

Then take the cinnamon covered graham and you melt the reece's peanut butter cup on the graham.

Next you smush.

Lastly, you indulge.

Oh, I almost forgot... These were key in making the smores.

Jonathan + Missy: Wedding Sneak Peek

To see more of their gorgeous wedding in Estes Park go here.

Engagement Photoshoots: Sneak Peek

It is that time of year and we have been taking engagement photos and shooting weddings non-stop. We are so grateful and love all of the couples that we have been able to work with.

This is just a sneak peek of some of the engagement shoots Stone has been working on.

Goorin Bros hatmakers.

When we were on our trip in San Francisco we wandered into this little hat shop in the Haight District. They have been around since 1895 when you did not leave your home without a hat. Their website has some amazing photos of the original hats that they sold. Anyway, they have stores now across America and have some really fun and beautiful hats for both men and women.

I would love to own a straw hat to wear around in the Summer time, I am just not sure if I can pull it off. But, I will at least give it a shot : )

The weekend with friends.

This past weekend we had some visitors from Dallas.

One of my closest friends passed through with her fiance Charles on a road trip. We loved, loved having them here (come back please!). One of the plus sides of living in Boulder is that we were able to spend Saturday morning on a beautiful (albeit difficult) hike up the Mount Sanitas. One of the downsides to living in Boulder is that you don't get a lot of bang for your buck (real estate wise)... so our guests toughed it out on the air mattress in the living room in our small 900 sq ft apartment (Thanks guys, I am sure that is the first of many air mattresses you will sleep on in your marriage!) :)

The weekend was eventful indeed. Here is the breakdown.

- Dinner at Larkburger (duh, a must for any of our guests).
- Homemade chocolate chip waffles, complete with homemade whipped cream and strawberries!
- Hiking Mt. Sanitas, which we had not hiked it in a while... whew it was rough.
- Playing Taboo and drinks at our place, girls won, of course.
- Boulder Creek Fest, where lots of hippies and crazies came out of the woodworks, it was definitely fun people watching.
- Dinner at one of our favorite spots, Proto's pizza.
- S'mores at Sky's house!
- And of course, we took some amazing engagement photos (you will see soon enough!).

Could not have been better.
